Deep Sea Adventure: A Treasure-Hunting Travel Game for Kids and Adults It’s time to dive into the ocean and race to uncover all the secret riches that hide below the surface. Deep Sea Adventure is a travel board game for kids and adults alike, where players must spend half their time working together, and the other half hoarding treasure and oxygen for themselves. Just like all family strategy games, the rules are super simple. Turn by turn, players roll a dice to move their deep sea diver, either back towards the boat or deeper into the ocean. Whenever they land on a piece of treasure, they pick it up and add it to their collection. After three rounds, the player that’s returned the most treasure to the boat, wins. It might sound fairly easy, but there’s a hidden twist to this travel board game. Each diver must share the oxygen on the boat. The more treasure you’ve collected, the more oxygen you’ll use on your turn. The most valuable treasure might live at the bottom of the ocean, but you better be careful – you might not have enough time to bring it back to the boat, especially if the other players are feeling greedy as well.

I love this game thought my youngest won’t play it so it hasn’t got as much use as I’d like. I love that it travels so well and that the pieces are thick and durable. It requires a bit of strategy which is nice.

I love how portable this board game is, it fits in my small purse and I can easily whip it out if the conversation hits a lull. It’s easy to explain and there are a lot of videos out there too to watch for reference. I also like it because it has a high replay ability and it fits anywhere because you make the game board!

The game is easy to learn, fun, has easy strategy so great for lots of ages and is so small — very travel friendly. I brought it with me for a family vacation and was only about the size of a deck of cards. I’m subtracting 1 star because the board you use to track the oxygen is too small. It’s easy to misplace the marker & the text is small so not all players could participate in that part.As a solution, I wish the board was larger but folded similar to how large board game (like Monopoly) boards fold into their boxes so that the game remained small making it an ideal game for travel.In the interim, I may photocopy & magnify the image to make it accessible for more players.

My son bought this game. We played with a group of adults and really enjoyed it. It is easy to learn so you can start playing quickly. It doesn’t take long to set up or to play.

I had heard about the original Deep Sea Adventure game on a podcast, as well as a few YouTube videos, so I decided to pick it up once I saw that an English version had come out. I’m so glad that I did! This game is amazing.Deep Sea Adventure is a push-your-luck game where you are trying to dive into the ocean to get as much treasure as possible, then make it out before you run out of air. But beware: you and your fellow divers all share an air supply that is counting down as soon as people start collecting the treasure! The more treasure you collect, the harder it is to resurface…and you only score points if you make it back to the submarine.I host a gaming group at my work, and we play mostly light to medium-weight games on Friday nights. The entire group loved this game. I was a little nervous about the playtime after I read in the rules that you play over 3 rounds (and some of my co-worker’s attention spans are about 1/2 a round), but this wasn’t an issue it all. Since the remaining air is determined by all the players, we all wanted to know who was doing what so we could try to maximize our points. Needless to say, everyone was completely immersed, and had a great time. We cheered at good die rolls, groaned when someone was too greedy…can’t wait until we bust this game out again!I would say you could probably play this with a bright elementary-schooler with a little patience (the box recommends ages 8+), but being able to think through your moves and react to what others are doing is a pretty large part of the game, so bear that in mind.The component quality is outstanding. Each token and player piece, as well as the box are all very high quality. I wish more games would use the same durable satin finish on their cardboard tokens!Definitely a 10/10 for me and my gaming group!

I love the fact that everything fits in that tiny cute box, that you can carry everywhere with a minimum effort and doesn’t take much space on the shelf. The mechanics of the game are simple to learn and to explain to players of all ages, but that doesn’t take away any value to this game. This game is capable of generating pretty intense 15 minutes plays that will feed on your group’s dynamic but also on your own individual greedy self ^^Additionally, the production quality and the overall design is absolutely wonderful.If you are looking for an easy to learn 15 minutes game, that works with two players and scales perfectly with larger groups, I would definitely recommend this game to you!

Love this game!!! I I wanted to get another set of this game to keep in the car for trips and improv game nights out, but this copy came a little different from what is in the photo’s.None of the tile dot patterns are centered, the player pieces seem a bit rough, the colors are different, dice are poorly painted, and the sub board is worn on the edges. I’m not sure what the difference between this and my other box are, they should be the same, but the quality seems to have taken a pretty big hit. I’ll probably just go back to my local game store for another quality set

Tan buen juego con tan buenos componentes en una cajita facil de guardar y llevar. El juego es fácil de explicar (viene con reglas en Inglés, Español y Francés) y jugar. Los componentes son de alta calidad. Lo mejor es que todo cabe en esta cajita, lo minimalista se puede notar en todos los aspectos del juego. Quizás el precio esta muy alto pero creo que para todo el valor que se le puede sacar lo justifica.En el juego debes tirar los dados y bajar a las profundidades para pbtener tesoros. Entre más abajo mejor valor tiene el tesoro pero es más difícil regresar. Lo que hace interesante el juego es que todos los jugadores comparten el mismo oxígeno así que hay momentos en que debes de jugar en equipo per hay momentos que sales mejor traicionando a los demás para ganar el tesoro. Es un juego de empujar la suerte y confiar (y desconfiar) de los demás jugadores. Si te gusta tirar los dados y empujar tu suerte el juego es para ti.
