Played at a friends house and immediately bought it for myself. Played the base game 2 player and as a group and its a different game everytime you play it (as long as you’re fun and you change decks every game). I take it with me anytime I go to a friends house now because its incredibly easy to learn, fast paced, wildly fun, and theres no skill advantage to the game. Anyone can win regardless of experience so even the most casual players or people who never play card/board games have the same chance of winning as those with experience. Recently played a few games 1v1 with a friend who had never played and after 6 games we had each won 3 times. atm this is my favorite game to play with friends.Only problem I have is the fact that the base game comes with a container that has enough slots for the expansion decks but they still make you purchase those decks seperately. There should be a version availiable with all the decks in one purchase rather than buying the base game then 2 expansions packs. In one sense if you’re on a budget this design allows you to break up your purchases and buy them later on when you have the money to afford the expansion packs rather than dropping all the money at once. On the other hand its pretty annoying for someone like me who didn’t realize this until after I got home with the base game I had bought from a local comic shop and then realized i only had half the decks. Because my comic shop didnt have the expansions I then had to wait several days in order to obtain the full game.

I love card games, from Rummy to MtG, and this is one of my favorites. The rules are very easy to learn and are well summarized on each player’s handy reference card. Each character deck has a different strategic flavor to it, which makes choosing a character fun, but they all seem well-balanced. Players are going head to head (to head to head), it’s directly competitive, so there are plenty of chances for smack talk and petty revenges, if that’s your thing. It’s fun as a two-player game, and better with more. The expansions add new gameplay elements, and I like them, but THIS IS THE BEST SET TO START WITH, as the others are either limited (the 2 character expansion) or geared to many more players (the Monster set).Overall, I can’t recommend it enough. Fun, easy to learn, super portable, fast games… I’ve bought sets for other people as gifts and they’ve all loved it. Top choice.

My family and I have had so much fun playing this game we played it 5xs in one night. Then my oldest loved it so much they took it to the Anime convention. So basically -It’s incredibly straightforward and very fast-paced game. The symbols are clear and knowing what each one does becomes second nature, it’s a very fun game, a little chaotic just like D&D should be. But get the expansion packs after you play a few times if you plan on playing it again with the same players.

This is a great game that is easy to jump into and learn quickly. It is fun and easy to learn for many ages and skill levels. It is a great deal for those looking for a quick game to get people around the table without much effort to invest in.

Each of the character decks, feel unique and powerful in their own way. Each one embodies, their own certain archetype that translates well to the actual gameplay. And each of their special abilities throws a lot of chaos and mayhem into the game. It’s a great fun time all around.

I got this game originally to play with my kids. We play to play D&D but don’t always get a chance. So this game kind of filling those gaps where we have 20 minutes to play something.First of all, it’s easy to learn. No complex rules. It’s easy enough for my 7-year-old to play. We have played about a dozen times and generally have a great time.I have also played one-on-one with my wife and we’ve enjoyed it. I’ve taken it to play at a friend’s house for New Year’s Eve. We all had a good time. Now I do have a few complaints. The first is the quality of the material used for the cards. After a few plays, the edges started to get dinged up a bit more than I thought they should. There isn’t a lot of coating on them to protect them from damage. I wish I would have put the cards in some sleeves before letting the kids play. But life goes on.I think the wizard may be overpowered as he has a lot of abilities to totally kill everyone. Everyone does have a few cards that can make or break their game, but the wizard has “fireball” that damages EVERYONE and I’ve used it to completely wipe out people. Especially if I happen to have a few cards that let me play multiple … play your strengths, I suppose.I wish, also, they would release more characters and/or more abilities on these original cards. Expand the playability. I can see the kids getting bored playing the same four characters over and over.BUT overall I’m happy with the purchase. Already had a lot of playtime with it and I can’t complain. It’s cheap enough so I feel I may have already gotten our money’s worth. In the end, great buy, fun game. Just expect wear and tear right of the box as well as feeling you’ve already played the exact game after half-dozen hands.UPDATESo, after playing the game several times with my boys I realized I needed to create a dice system to keep them from ganging up on one person – primarily on the youngest. What I’ve had to do is on any attack rolls they roll a d4 that determines whom they hit. Otherwise, there are just angry kids who feel like the game was all about killing them.

Quick to learn. Quick to play. Increase your options with the expansion packs.

Fun game but unbalanced decks
One deck in the game seems distinctly stronger than the others.
